Abstract
This paper is a critical review of Igor Vukadinović’s book, The Autonomy of Kosovo and Metohija in Serbia (1945–1969), (Belgrade: Balkanological Institute SANU, 2021), in which I tried to point out its both good and bad sides, primarily its one-sided conclusions.
Summary: The review deals critically with the book of Igor Vukadinović on Kosovo’s autonomy. Vukadinović’s diligence as a researcher is lauded, but it is pointed out that his conclusions are biased. Vukadinović views events, processes and persons from a narrow national perspective, reaching thus conclusions that are only partly true or insufficiently grounded in historical sources. For that reason, he did not manage to utilize in the best way huge quantity of materials that he had found in Serbian and Albanian archives and gleaned from relevant literature in several languages (including Albanian).
